JEE Main Examination

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs).

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Duration: 3 hours per paper
  • Papers: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), Paper 2 (B.Arch), Paper 3 (B.Planning)
  • Sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (25 questions each)
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect (MCQs), +4 for correct, 0 for incorrect (Numerical)
